A calm body of water under a cloudy, foggy sky with a single bird flying over the water.

I am a landscape photographer based in the northwestern United States. I am blessed with access to miles of undeveloped Pacific shoreline, most of which looks much as it did 10,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age.

The making of this work and the production of “art” is therapeutic to both the photographer and the viewer. Being in wild places brings me solace and mental clarity. I love being in the elements, particularly in the cooler, wetter months.

Broad, sweeping vistas and intimate closeups are two ways I like to represent landscapes. My work often takes on a brooding atmosphere, which accurately reflects both how I feel at the time, as well as the actual conditions present. I strive to preserve realism in my photographs so the viewer can grasp the true essence of a place, yet being taken there in a dreamlike way.

I invite you to immerse yourself in the images presented here. Lose yourself on a timeless shoreline or in the achingly beautiful details revealed in rocks, trees, or flowing water. I would love to hear from you.
